Fly Fishing For Tigerfish

Tigerfish swim the rivers of Africa and are considered one of the top freshwater fly rod targets in the world. Younger fish collect into large schools and hold in the shallows while older fish like less company and prefer deeper water. They are famous for an aggressive strike, deep into your backing runs, aerial exploits, and overall fighting tenacity. Handle with care for they are named for their mouthful of oversized teeth, which can obviously rip flesh to shreds. Wire leader is required, to deal with those teeth. Wading is not recommended, CROCODILES may be lurking. Expect fish up to 10 lbs., larger fish are possible.
